What is Salt Therapy?

Salt therapy, or halotherapy, is a holistic, drug free, natural therapy using micro particles of salt to promote better breathing, healthier skin, sounder sleep, improved physical fitness and endurance and overall wellness. salt therapy also helps to alleviate symptoms of many respiratory and skin

How does it work?

Salt has the following properties:

  • Antibacterial
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Mucolytic effects: loosens excessive mucus and speeds up mucociliary transport
  • Removes pathogen agents (airborne pollen)
  • Reduces IgE level (immune system oversensitivity)

The salt is grounded into tiny micro particles by our state-of-the-art halogenerator and then dispersed into the salt room. While relaxing in our salt room, customers inhale the salt-enriched air deep down into the lungs, where the healing benefits do their greatest healing.

The salt widens the airways and loosens the mucus, which begins to clear quickly, and inflammation is reduced, which makes more room in the airways for you to breathe. Symptoms subside, sometimes for up to 12 months. The non-inhaled particles landing on the skin help to balance pH and induce the reparative and regenerative processes in the skin, increasing rigidity and stimulating cell growth and microcirculation.

What should I expect to experience in a Salt Room?

Our beautiful salt room allows for salt therapy to be experienced alone or in a group setting. The room simulates the environment of a therapeutic salt cave, with Himalayan salt covering the walls and floor to calm the mind and body by releasing negative ions.

Negative ions counterbalance the many positive ions we pick up from electronic devices like cell phones, tablets etc. Neutralizing the atmosphere in this way stabilizes mood, decreases stress and prepares the body for ultimate healing

A salt room session last 25 minutes and requires no more than lying back in a comfortable recliner and breathing deeply Micro particles of salt are dispersed into the room by the halogenerator while you relax, read, listen to music, sleep or meditate

You have the freedom to wear whatever you would like inside the salt room, but we recommend dressing comfortably. The only requirement is that each person removes their shoes, and white socks are necessary for your session. So please bring a pair of white socks

what are some of the Physical Effects – What to Expect

Coughing is [initially] a very normal response and will subside quickly as the therapy itself gently cleanses the lungs, naturally, over the course of a few sessions.

Following a session, clients may experience extra mucous discharge as the body is naturally expelling toxins from the lungs, this is normal. The treatments can be explained as a soft toothbrush gently brushing the inside of the lungs, releasing any buildup from years of pollutants.

Deep relaxation may occur and some clients experience snoring. If you are sensitive to light sounds, please bring your own ear plugs for the most beneficial experience.

How often should you come

Session FREQUENCY

Halotherapy (Salt Therapy) is beneficial to those that suffer from respiratory illness such as asthma, allergies, bronchitis, and cystic fibrosis, as well as skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, and acne due to the natural anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties of salt.

It is also recommended for healthy people as it boosts the immune system to help combat the high amounts of pollutants, dust, and bacteria we all breathe every day.

Treatment should be avoided during the acute phase of any illness, including the following: infections accompanied by fever, active tuberculosis, cardiac insufficiency, COPD in stage 3 of lung insufficiency, coughing up blood, alcohol or drug intoxication, uncontrolled severe (stage IIB) hypertension, and acute stages of lung disease.
We do not claim to be a replacement for any medication or medical treatment but only a complement to traditional medicine techniques.
Consult with your health provider before undergoing any medical changes.

We are all adults once in a while 😊, so when we learn what we need to do, find accountability and just do it!
